Hatteras Island is made up of small coastal villages on the outer most of the barrier islands. We hunt the Pamlico Sound which is famous for its excellent hunting and fishing. We do 90% of our hunting out of twelve stationary blinds which cover a seven mile area extending behind Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands. Constantly rotating their use allows our hunters to shoot fresh blinds everyday. Occasionally we use layout boats, widgeon and coffin boxes. This is big water hunting at its finest.
Ken Dempsey's Guide Service is a full-time professional outfitter with over fifteen years in the business. Our hunters enjoy shooting the tremendous diversity of waterfowl our area possesses. There are over fifteen species of ducks, geese, and swans. Our "big three" are the pintail, redhead, and brandt goose. We work hard to see that you have an enjoyable and productive trip. About 60% of our business is based on repeat customers and another 20% are from referrals. We invite you to check with our former hunters about our service. References are available upon request.
